ABOUT WATERSANDSTONE Jewelry
Amy Morrell is an Oakland, CA based jewelry designer, artist, teacher, and mother. Amy was raised in Southern California and moved to Oakland, in 1997 where she received her BFA at the California College of the Arts. Her fine art training informs an innate understanding of compositional space that is integral to her designs.
Water Sand Stone jewelry is a physical embodiment of balance within natural opposition. Bold, while maintaining a grounded sensitivity, Amy creates power pieces that reflect the perfect harmony between fierce energy and gentle magic.
All Water Sand Stone jewelry is handcrafted by Amy in her workshop in Oakland, CA.
Jewelry Care
WATERSANDSTONE jewelry is made primarily with brass. Brass will eventually build up an antique finish as it is worn. Many people like this natural patina, but if you are not happy with it, you can polish your jewelry with any polish that is used for silver. I also recommend Shine Rite Polishing Pads from Bead Smith.
You can slow the process of the patina building by keeping your brass jewelry in a sealed, dry container.
