A: Green Slate Mineral Polish is appropriate for all skin types, especially congested or oily skin.
Q: Does this product remove makeup?
A: This formula is optimized for exfoliation. We recommend one of our other cleansers (Fantastic Face Wash, Making Moves Milky Cleanser, or our Essential Face Wipes) if your main concern is removing makeup.
Q: Will Green Slate Mineral Polish cause micro-tears?
A: There’s currently no reliable way to evaluate whether a product causes micro-tears on the skin, but it’s true that any exfoliator (physical or chemical) can irritate the skin when used too frequently. We recommend using Green Slate Mineral Polish 1-2 times a week at first and polishing lightly to start. We don’t recommend using the product more than three times a week.
Q: Is this product pregnancy safe?
A: Green Slate Mineral Polish contains a small amount of natural salicylates from the Wintergreen and Willow Bark. Some doctors recommend against those during pregnancy. This is a wash-off product, so risk is lower, but we always recommend checking with your doctor before incorporating a new product.
