    ABOUT THE EIGHT OF SWORDS

    • Minor arcana
    • Jupiter in Gemini
    • Botanical:palo verde, scleranthus, blue corydalis
Keywords: the over analysing mind, confusion, going back and forth between two alternatives, self-imposed limiting beliefs, excessive thinking, self bondage, isolation, the scattered mind, non
    trusting mind

This card represents the mind that is trying to do too many things at once and has dispersed its energy in a way that leaves one depleted, isolated and feeling hopeless. It is the over analytical mind that analyses things to such a degree that it creates doubt, interference and confusion. It has a quality of vacillation and lack of clarity in deciding between two options. This state is one where you have imposed self limiting beliefs and thought patterns, in essence it is self imposed imprisonment.

There is hope, and you truly are not alone. You have the power to release yourself. The work to be done at this time is to trust and wait. You do not need to make any decisions right now. Meditate and bring yourself back to a state of stillness and quiet, as this will support you best at this time. Allow yourself the freedom that comes from releasing thoughts. It is time now to walk away from those self limiting beliefs and to create a new way of moving in the world. Trust in the universe and know that it is always working for you and with you. When you allow yourself this freedom clarity and decisiveness will come to you effortlessly. All wisdom comes from a place of non-thought.

Schleranthus flower essence will help with indecision between two options. It will allow you to reconnect with your intuition and choose simply and decisively. Foothills Palo verde is a flower that will bring inner stillness by bringing the mind to a quieter place. It helps us find perfection within ourselves, just as we are without being over judgmental of ourselves or others. When we feel overwhelmed with our emotions we can go to this flower and it will help.

Blue corydalis is a flower helpful for trusting in the Universal path, releasing the need to direct the path and instead wisely co-creating with it. Relax into this knowing.

    ABOUT THE CARDS

Each of these paintings is part of a series of 78 botanical tarot cards. The cards symbolize different archetypal experiences we go through in our lives that help initiate us into our wholeness, our healing. The cards act as a bridge to our subconscious. They become a mirror for us that reflects back the symbols and messages that want to reach us from the spirit realm. The images that one sees will vary and change with each viewer. It's helpful to stay open to the message that is being sent as you gaze into it, they are very powerfully healing and come essentially from your own ancient and timeless self.
This deck focuses on the energetic healing properties of botanicals, more specifically, flower essences. They are plant spirits that work upon our energetic body to help restore balance and health, easing us out of old, negative and habitual mental patterns. Each flower offers a specific medicine and can help support us as we pass through these archetypal experiences of life. Plants deeply want to help us and can support us in seeing our true nature. The healing power behind this deck comes from them and their choice to inhabit these paintings as a frequency and flow freely out to all who need it. They are asking us to connect with them as our ancestors have. It is my creative intention with this deck that we all connect to and align with our ultimate Nature that desires to care for eachother, for the plants, the planet and ourselves. May we all open to the magic found in Nature. May we all see our Divinity within the flower!
